I recently had a private yoga lesson and I have to say I loved it. I never really took a yoga class before so I wasn’t sure what to expect. I always thought yoga was more spiritual and meditative rather then an exercise however, after a class with Michelle Jean I realized that’s not the case. Yes there absolutely was some relaxation and connecting with my inner self but I also woke up the next morning and I was so sore. In addition to having an opportunity for me to calm my mind, it was also a great workout.
It was a beautiful morning and a few friends came over to take the class. We set up our mats outside and it was refreshing. So peaceful to hear the birds and feel the fresh air. When I say very peaceful I mean everything other then for my one neighbor that decided to mow his lawn during our session. I guess that made for a good exercise to try and tune out the noise and stay connected.
Michelle Jean is a certified Vinyasa instructor. Vinyasa is a form of yoga in which movements form a flowing sequence in coordination with breathing.
Having instructors come to the house is so convenient for me. I always get the best work outs when I am in my own environment with my friends.
Being it was my first Vinyasa class I was trying to work on the moves while accentuating my breathing but honestly it was hard. You would think breathing is something that would come easy right?
The end was one of my favorite parts. We laid down (probably the only time I relaxed all day) and Michelle Jean took us to a calm place in our minds. At that time she also showered us in lavender oil, which I love, and we enjoyed our final relaxation pose.
