My Jersey Shore Vacation

One of my favorite vacations we have taken for the past few years is to the Jersey Shore. Our family and seven other families come from all over New York to meet up once a year for a reunion.  Our husbands wrestled together in college and since we all live in different places this is the way we stay in touch.

The Jersey Shore has been our spot for several years. It is the perfect place for the beach, boardwalk and lots of fun!

We stay at the Adventurer Oceanfront Inn in Wildwood which is a great location for us. The beach is a few steps away and the boardwalk is just outside. When we aren’t at the beach or boardwalk you can find us at the pool. The kids love to swim after a day at the ocean. Another thing we love is there is a large outside common area on the second floor where we gather for dinner every night. We are a large group so aren’t always doing the same thing but dinner is the one time a day we make sure to spend all together. My favorite part is ending the night at the ice cream shop. It’s a quick walk and the ice cream is amazing! I am also obsessed with the fried Oreos!!!

This year we added a few fun activities. You haven’t lived until you have taken a family ride on a bike built for five. My oldest and I took turns pedaling so my bum knee didn’t give out for the rest of the trip.  It was a great way to incorporate exercise while spending time with the fam. Then my friend suggested getting our daughters hair wrapped. I was so happy to have an opportunity for some girl time and they really liked it! The wrap is still in her hair and it adds such a cute style.

As for what we bring…it is a lot. For food, my friend places her order for grocery pick up at the local supermarket in town and I decide to try it this year. I have to say it was so much better then bringing the food up with us. It is so easy to order online and the groceries are ready for you at the designated time of your choice. I would highly suggest this for anyone staying in a place with a kitchen.

A new purchase my husband Randy made for this vaca was a tent so the kids could eat lunch without the seagulls taking their sandwich. (Yes that did happen last year) It was an Amazon prime purchase and definitely worth it. Randy said it was light weight and so easy to set up. I have linked it here if you are looking for one.

The Jersey Shore is such a great place to visit. I am already looking forward to our next vacation!

XOXO
