When you want to go shopping on Long Island the best place in my opinion is at Americana in Manhasset. I used to live in Great Neck which was around the corner from the mall, now it is a little more of a drive for me but so worth it. My mom, sister and I all took a much needed girls day and headed to Louis Vuitton for a special event.
This upscale shopping center located on the North Shore is often referred to as the Miracle Mile of Manhasset. It got it’s nickname as some of the largest New York department, jewelry and specialty stores established a presence there and gave a Fifth Avenue feeling to the outside shopping strip. I personally think the miracle is that I can ever leave all the beautiful luxury stores without buying everything!
Among the 60 shops you can expect to see Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Cartier, Dior, and Gucci just to name a few. Our first stop was to Louis Vuitton as they were having a hardsided personalization event. When you walk in you were greeted by a beautiful presentation of hardsided Louis Vuitton items. I left there with with a wish list and at the top is the LV party sunglasses. I need these sunglasses for the summer! They have small metal studs around the lenses which give them a fun edge. I also would include the Cherie pumps and the Pochette Cle to the list.
Next we stopped into Gucci and I fell in love with the GG Blooms print scarf and sandals to match. At first I was looking at headbands but then Angelo, my sales associate, pointed out that the scarf can be worn as a scarf or made into a headband. I liked that because it gave me more options. It just so happened someone had put the GG Blooms sandals on the counter next to me at it was fate. They were such a pretty match I scooped both! Now if I only had the LV sunglasses to add with the headband and sandals I would be set for the warm weather.
After we stopped into a few more amazing stores my wishlist got longer. This includes the J’adior slingback heels in black patient leather from Dior and the Chanel CC signature band cuff. I could have shopped all day and added items to my wishlist.
We finished by grabbing a quick bite to eat and then it was time to head back home to our husbands and kids. A shopping day with the ladies was just what I needed and I can not say enough amazing things about the experience at Americana in Manhassett.
