Looking for a good holiday punch recipe? My friend Sandy has a punch that she serves every year at her Christmas party and it is a big hit. In preparation of the party my job is to sugar the rosemary garnish. Even if you aren’t a punch lover it is such a great festive addition. Check out her recipe below.
Holiday Party Punch
2 bottles of dry champagne
1 bottle ginger ale
1 bag fresh cranberries (cooked and frozen; can make in advance)
*on stovetop cook cranberries on low heat (until slightly softened)
adding 1/4 cup sugar and 1 teaspoon lemon juice…DO NOT OVERCOOK!
Garnish with sugared rosemary sprigs and serve!

Rosemary Garnish
Now this is my part…get a baking sheet and line it with wax paper. I take a cup of warm water and dip the sprig in the water. You can cut it in half depending on the size. After it is wet I take a paper towel and pat dry so it is not saturated. (Reason for this is if it too wet the sugar will make like a syrup instead of a white coating) Take your spoon and lightly sprinkle the sugar over both sides of the sprig. Let them dry on wax paper and then transfer to a bowl. We do this the night before and refrigerate. Take it out when you are ready to serve and it makes such a cute addition to your punch!
Enjoy!
